![Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama greets former President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam at the formal launch of the Global Foundation for Civilisation Harmony [India] at the Chinmaya Mission Hall, Lodhi Road, in Delhi on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. The two leaders were the Chief Guests of the function. The new global initiative for conflict avoidance with Indian and Eastern perspective is being hosted by Trustees of GFCH India, including Essel Group Chairman Subhash Chandra, former Intelligence Bureau Director Ajit Doval and former Delhi Lt Governor Vijai Kapoor. His Holiness later left for Dharamsala, His exile hometown in the Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
