Lisbon, Portugal, 17 September 2007 (Phayul) - His Holiness the Dalai Lama today attended an inter-religious meeting at Lisbon Mosque alongside representatives from major religious faiths from Lisbon.

The exiled Tibetan leader was invited to the inter-faith dialogue by the Muslim Community of Lisbon.

Representatives from Lisbon's Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Bahais and Buddhist communities attended the informal gathering.

Members of the Tibetan community lined the streets this morning to express their reverence and delight at His Holiness’s visit. He was driven through Ganden Monastic University, through the administrative center of the Settlement, to Drepung Monastic University, home of Dalai Lamas over many lifetimes.
