H.H the Dalai Lama and State Governor Exchange Greetings

Amaravati, 11 January 2006 (www.tibet.net) - His Holiness the Dalai Lama met the Andhra Pradesh State Governor Sushil Kumar Shinde and 30 other dignitaries this afternoon.

As a token of respect, the Governor offered flowers and a photo of Lord Buddha to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Holiness in turn offered a Tibetan traditional scarf and a photo of Tara (Jetsun Dolma) to the Governor.

They talked in private for about 15 minutes after which His Holiness introduced the Kalachakra Mandala (Khikhor) to the Governor and his companions.

Tomorrow His Holiness will confer the Kalachakra preliminary initiation.

Dharamsala, HP, India, 21 July 2014 (Hindustan Times) - Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamsala from Delhi after concluding the 33rd Kalachakra teachings at Ladakh.
