His Holiness the Dalai Lama Expresses His Sadness Over the Recent Floods in Queensland, Australia

(In a letter sent to Ms. Anna Bligh, the Premier of Queensland, 5 January, 2011) - His Holiness the Dalai Lama expressed his sadness and concern about the widespread hardship for many people and huge damage to property caused by the unprecedented floods in large parts of the state of Queensland, Australia. At the same time, His Holiness praised the government's preparedness and ability to respond to the people’s needs during this crisis.

 

His Holiness sends his prayers for the swift relief and safety of all those affected by the floods, with the hope that normal life is restored soon.
