Note: Below is the public schedule of His Holiness the Dalai Lama both in India as well as abroad. Please note that for many of these events, tickets are required in order to gain entrance. People are requested to contact the organizers directly or visit the websites given below for further information on tickets. In general, most of the events in India are free where as the majority of events abroad require paid tickets. For your information, as a long-standing policy His Holiness the Dalai Lama does not accept any fees for his talks. Where tickets need to be purchased, organizers are requested by our office to charge the minimum entrance fee in order to cover their costs only. Long Life Offering Ceremony in Dharamsala, HP, India on June 21: As part of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's official 80th Birthday Celebration, His Holiness will participate in a long-life offering ceremony organized by the Central Tibetan Administration, Geluk Association & Domey Association at the Main Tibetan Temple.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's Official 80th Birthday Celebration and Global Compassion Summit in Anaheim and Irvine, CA, USA from July 5 to 7: As part of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's official 80th Birthday Celebration in the U.S., His Holiness will participate in various talks, events and panel discussions at the Honda Center in Anaheim and the Bren Events Center at the UC Irvine Campus organized by Friends of the Dalai Lama in partnership with the Center for Living Peace and University of California, Irvine.  Contact Website: www.HHDL80.org  

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India from September 8 to 10: His Holiness will continue to give teachings from Shantideva's A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life (chodjug) at the request of a group of Southeast Asians at the Main Tibetan Temple.

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India from October 1 to 4: His Holiness will give teachings at the request of a group of Taiwanese at the Main Tibetan Temple.

Inauguration & Teaching in Bylakuppe, Karnataka, India from December 20 to 23: His Holiness will inaugurate the new Assembly Hall of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery on the morning of December 20. He will then give three days of teachings from December 21 to 23 on Dharmakirti's Commentary on Pramana-samuccaya (tsema namdrel) at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.

Teaching in Bylakuppe, Karnataka, India from December 24 to 28: His Holiness will continue his teachings on the 18 Great Stages of the Path (Lam Rim) Commentaries at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery at the request of H.E. 2016

Kalachakra in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India from January 14 to 25: His Holiness will be giving the Kalachakra at the request of the Central Tibetan Adminstration. During the first three days of the Kalachakra, from January 14 to 16, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, along with the monks of Namgyal Monastery and senior lamas, will conduct rituals which prepare and consecrate the venue. These include chanting of prayers, creation of the sand mandala and other rituals. From January 17 to 19, His Holiness will give preliminary teachings during the mornings. On January 20, the Kalachakra Ritual Dance will be performed by the monks of Namgyal Monastery. His Holiness will confer the Kalachakra Initiation during the afternoons from January 21 to 24. On January 25, a long life empowerment (tsewang) and a ceremony offering prayers for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be performed in the morning.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama Meets Foreign Visitors to Dharamsala

Dharamsala, HP, India, 30 March 2015 - His Holiness the Dalai Lama today met with an estimated 1100 people from 56 different countries in Asia, Australasia, Europe, North and South America and Africa. Among them were more than 100 Indians. He first posed for photographs with them arranged in groups according to nationality before sitting down below the Tsuglagkhang to speak to them. “Some time ago I thought it would be good,” he said, “if, when there are quite a number of visitors here, I could meet with them and share with them some of my thoughts and experiences."
