On July 25 he will lead the blessing ceremony (rabney) of the new Maitreya Statue at Disket Monastery (Nubra Valley). Finally, on July 26 & 27 he will give teachings on Geshe Langri Thangpa's Eight Verses of Training the Mind (lojong tsik gyema) & Tsongkhapa's The Three Principal Paths (lamtso namsum) at Disket Phodrang. There is no visit to Leh or Zanskar planned in 2010.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, 24 October 2014 - Before leaving Vancouver at the end of his four day visit to Canada, His Holiness the Dalai Lama met with 10 Canadian MPs from the Parliamentary Friends of Tibet. Among them were Jason Kenney, Minister for Employment & Social Development and Multiculturalism, Kerry-Lynn Findlay, Minister for National Revenue and the new Chair of the PFT, Bernard Trottier.
