Teachings in Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, India from January 7 to 10: His Holiness will give four days of teachings on Shantideva's A Guide to the Boddhisattva's Way of Life (chodjug). The teachings will be held near the Central University of Tibetan Studies.

Teachings in Dharamsala, H.P., India on February 25: His Holiness will give a short teaching from the Jataka Tales in the morning at the Main Tibetan Temple.

Conference in Tumkur, Karnataka, India on March 6: His Holiness will inaugurate a conference organized by Tumkur University and Sera Jey Monastery on Contemporary Human Sufferings: Wisdom of Bhagwan Buddha in the morning at Tumkur University.

Teaching in New Delhi, India on March 9: His Holiness will give a general Buddhist teaching co-organized by Tibet House New Delhi and Tushita Meditation Center New Delhi in the afternoon at Buddha Jayanti Park.

Teaching in Ravangla, Sikkim. India on March 25 & 26: On the morning of March 25 His Holiness will lead a Vajrakilaya consecration prayer for a new Buddha statue followed immediately by the official inauguration ceremony of the statue. In the afternoon he will give a teaching on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo's Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva (gyalsey laklen sodunma). On March 26 morning His Holiness will confer a long life empowerment (tsewang) and there will also be a long life offering prayer for His Holiness. These events are being organized by the Government of Sikkim.

Teaching in Salugara, West Bengal, India from March 27 to 29: On the afternoon of March 27 and all day of March 28, His Holiness will give teachings on Tsongkhapa's Concise Stages for the Path to Enlightenment (lamrim dudon) and Gyalwa Longchen Rabjang's Relaxing the Mind Itself (semnyid nyalso). On the morning of March 29 he will confer an Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wangchen).
